Welcome
in our space, our Atelier LEPE (means BETTER) - a home for two creative people from two countries. Lenka from Bohemia/Czech Republic and Peter from Slovakia. This space enables to go our own way, consciously, for every human is free and original being. We give a proper time to our products and pictures. We emphasise quality and individuality. We know that beautiful things can please and heal. We would like to share a bit of our world with you.
Lenka - pictures
Drawing means dancing my favorite dance to me, with favorite companions - pastel and crayon. Dance steps let the new stories and pictures come into being, stories/pictures that can touch inner space and tune the outer. Sometimes they are created for individual person, sometimes they are used as background for picture, invitation card, gift voucher... I use textile colors as well. Leather products I decorate with indian ink. Using edgetool, I can see shapes from different aspects.
Sometimes, I would rather call courage to me, when I tell new stories on walls with brush in my hand. I try to touch a vital part in human being, cleanly and gently.
Peter - leather and other natural material products
I specialise on leather, which I decorate also with other natural materials, such as wood, metal, textile.
In my work, I combine old decoration technique with searching for new motives. Some ideas come to me in my dreams, others are inspired by nature. I often cooperate with Lenka.
All my work - motive drawing, cutting, shearing, decoration, coloration, and needlework I do by my hands. This allows me to focus on quality and personal/individual approach. I use groover needlework that prevents stitches from wearing (in contrast to commonly used surface needlework). Leather edges are modified by edge beveler or by whetstone. I use high quality colors made in USA, France or Czech Republic. In the end, every product is treated with leather balsam or water-resistant top finish acrylic resolene. You should take care of purchased products and use some common treatments, e.g. beeswax or oil. Then they will make you happy for many years.
Sometimes, jewelry origination is accompanied with story, sometimes products just listen. Connection between poetry and practicality for every day.
Distribution/Delivery
We use Czech Post's services.
Pictures are sent in cardboard envelopes by recorded delivery (for pictures on glass, we use anti-shock envelopes). Leather product are sent according to their size - in anti-shock envelope by recorded delivery or cardboard box.
We send our products in 3 - 5 days (sometimes we are traveling). Thank you for your patience.
