Svatojanská noc...noc kouzel, fantazie, romantiky a světlušek.

Midsummer Night's Eve...a night of magic, fantasy, romance...and fireflies. They flicker, hide among the lush foliage, confound the mind and senses...

This necklace inspired by this shortest and most magical of all nights is made from whisper-light jet, black tourmaline, and Swarovski crystals. The large, dramatic focal bead in the firefly's bottom is a faceted fire-crackle agate. The rest of the components are a diverse lot: the clasp, which has the most secure closing I have ever seen, the ring from which the pendant is suspended, and the firefly's "tail" are made from vermeil (vermeil is silver with a heavy electroplated layer of 22-kt gold). The tiny beads between the crystals and the small components near the clasp are gold-plated, and the large golden discs and the wire in the pendant are costume jewelry components.

This necklace measures 46 cm.
